OVERVIEW
Content Release: Three new themed items found in the Weathertop Pack. Various bug fixes.

NEW DESIGNS - Weathertop Pack



FIXED BUGS
  • Mystical Glyphs DLC pack should now show the mystical glyphs. (The glyphs were used to cast invisibility in the last patch.)
  • When shuffling colors, if 'no-part' was selected - such on gauntlets or cloaks or various other categories - the app would crash. This is corrected.
  • Shuffling colors could include stark white or deep black as options. These were colors related to coloring book mode only and have been removed.
  • When choosing a category of items that is not yet in-app, such as boomerangs, would display a confusing message. This has been fixed.
  • The Recent/Favorite colors page was crashing if you did not have a color changed. This would have affected very few users, but it's fixed all the same.
  • Minor graphical glitch fixed on vote now graphics on the 'item coming soon' pages.

OVERVIEW
Feature Release: A few quality of life changes and one art bug fix. Enjoy!

  • The first thing that you'll notice is that there is now a loading screen on the initial TSS title page. This is a change in behavior for the app that will help facilitate us to release our upcoming MONSTER MAKER APP!!!! ... working title.

    Next, the UI has been moved around. This is nothing major, but the Swap Type button is now on the left, the shuffle colors icon has changed, and a new favorite colors button has been put in the lower right. This change was to facilitate some item parts having FOUR COLORS!!! There's two in app currently, but more to come!

    On that note, the items with four colors... might come in with a default color choice if you have an item with that saved part. Just update it and move on about life!

    Oh, and about the colors... there is now a palette button in the lower right. This will display all of your recently used colors and allow you to permanently 'favorite' them for later use. Tap on any color and set your current part to that color! This is a brand new feature, so feedback is welcome!

    The way the app used to work was that when you went to the equipment card page, it remembered the last equipment card you made. So if you had vertical with color splatter, it would pull up vertical with color splatter. Now you can set a default card styling and each card remembers its own styling. Removing the logo and using sans-serif font, is remembered across the app.

    Oh, and now you can change the color of backgrounds on the equipment card... so instead of a red blood splatter, you can have a green blood splatter... which incidentally looks like poison!

  • Rogue BracerS could not be colored correctly. This should be fixed.

OVERVIEW
Instant Armory is proud to be partnering with Diego F. Salinas for a D&D charity livestream benefitting Raices, an organization that defends the human and legal rights of immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking families in the U.S. Diego will be running an original one-shot adventure - The Prince of Ice Crown - on February 21st at 4:00 pm CST. The all-star cast of players includes Jenny Yokobori, Chloe Baldwin, William Champion, Jasmin Malave, and Tay Marie.

To celebrate, we have designed three new exclusive items: The Sunforged Mace/Flail, The Cloak of the Glacial Guardian, and the Winterstrum Lute. These designs will be initially locked, but can be unlocked early by donating to the livestream. (NOTE: The items will be available normally - through Unlock Content or purchasing through coins - on the next patch after the livestream has concluded.)

OVERVIEW
Feature update. Item sorting added! Also, description text now auto-resizes to make more room for text.

  • You can now tag items with icons set to ten different colors. Each item can have four categories attached to it and then you can sort by any number in your inventory. Tag items in the stats and decription page on the lower right. Sort at the bottom of the inventory page. Customize the tags with 98 different icons in the settings menu.

    When moving items around in the inventory, you can now move by a whole page.

    By popular demand, description text now autoscales to allow for lengthier descriptions!

    Item icons can now be made without the graphical frame. Perfect if the VTT you're uploading to has its own frame, or you just don't like frames...

    (Android Only) Added debug button to reward video button. This will help us troubleshoot issue with the daily videos moving forward.

  • Share codes made with the newest build should now work correctly.
  • Ads should now be working on Android.
  • Item parts will no longer stay locked after loading or creating a new item.

OVERVIEW
Content update. Breastplates are now live. Choose from nine new designs, and a few extra pieces and parts.

  • Breastplates added! Changeable parts are chestpiece, harness, right and left pauldrons.

    All PNGs now download at 150dpi. This was the intended resolution for printing. Equipment cards should automatically come in at 5x4, perfect for printing four on one sheet of paper. (Thanks, kingbee!)

    When setting stats manually using the stat tool, there is now a 'minus' button. Use this to reduce a stat, or even make it a negative modifier, cursed item! (Thanks, someone from discord that I couldn't find the thread on...)

    There is now a warning when changing item type by tapping on the Design an [Item] title at the bottom of the screen. (Thanks, Sarah!)

Lots of exciting things in the works, but for this patch, we see some quality of life improvements, bug fixes... and a new lute, resplendant in patch-notes azure!

  • Changed 'enter gift code' button to 'enter unlock code'.

    Using a sans-serif font on the description of equipment cards should now properly line up with the lines.

    Share codes generated for an item are now removed from inventory screen if item is changed.

    Added animation to the new item bar.

    DESKTOP ONLY: Added 40 more save slots to STEAM for a total of 80.

Feature update! Now you can make icons for your items! Design a square or circular icon, position and size your weapon or armor (or potion) how you'd like and then set a glow and background color!

    Added a partners page! This will begin to be populated with links and offers of folks we're working with!

    Added a page to the app (and on our website) making clear our stance on AI art.

Content update! Added Pistols and Muskets. There are many new designs, everything from those perfect for humble pirates and brigands, to designs surely crafted by merfolk or held by a white hatted paladin. Swap out the barrel, grip or stock, and attachments, such as a bayonet, ammo holder, or dragon-head embellishment.

To note, this is also your LAST CHANCE to unlock all current and future content and features. The next content release will convert this DLC to unlock only current and future CONTENT, not features.

  • You can now choose from the list of random enchantments.

    Buttons for Dice Sets are now bigger.

    Added acknowledgements page. You can find the link to this on the about us page in options.

    Random description button for spells has been removed.

    Shield icon was changed to look less like a target.

FIXED BUGS
  • When cancelling out of making a new item, there will be no new item made.
  • Fixed issues when a 'no part' is selected on an item when loading it that can cause the item to glitch.
  • When buying DLC selected on an item group that's not already in the app, it won't blue screen any more.
  • Creating a new gauntlet will no longer result in a blue screen.
  • When flipping a Flail, Longbow, Shortbow, Gauntlets, the select parts buttons on the item should now be properly placed.
KNOWN BUGS
  • When creating a new object, if you choose a category that hasn't been added to the app, you will see the blue screen error.

  • Added a button on equipment card page to toggle between large description and large stats.
  • Added a magic rune background to the equipment card page.
  • Lowered opacity of shield crests to pick up some texture of the shield.

The summer went by fast and this update is long overdue. With it comes quite a few quality of life enhancements, some minor bug fixes, some UI tweaks, and some spelling fixes...

Wait, what was that last one? No, not spelling fixes, SPELLS. We have added spells to the app!

OTHER UPDATES (in no particular order)
  • Price of all coin packs reduced by 50%. This was in direct response to our user poll, which you can take here.
  • Updated frost enchantment: Now with 100% more snowflakes.
  • Can now lower opacity of weapon enchantments.
  • When selecting the enchantment part on the item wayfinder, if no enchantment is currently selected, one is assigned at random.
  • ALL download types now come with transparent backgrounds, even if on a parchment back background. No more white boxes around the parchment. All downloaded files are now in PNG format.
  • Added a Blue Screen of Death screen incase something goes wrong. (Hopefully you never see it, but if you do, it's kind of fun.)
  • When making a new item from inventory or changing an item's type, all items are not divided into categories - armament, armour, arcana. Some items exist in multiple categories, such as staves being in armament and arcana, to ease guessing incorrectly.
  • Share codes now visible on inventory page.
  • Added a prompt to update the app when using an outdated version.
  • Added RATE US and GO VOTE links to the about us page.
  • DLC Page got a bit of a visual update.
  • Various visual UI tweaks.

    • PC ONLY
  • PC now 'remembers' where you saved a downloaded item and prompts you to save there next time.


FIXED BUGS
  • HOTFIX: iOS should now not incorrectly be displaying the 'no internet' screen.
  • Randomizing a weapon when unpurchased items are set to hidden now works correctly.
  • When the app suggests you buy more save slots, there is a confirm button now.
  • Select parts page now correctly has drop shadows under the item sheafs.
  • Email links now work correctly on desktop with Outlook.
  • Rate us on pc version now goes to steam page.
  • You can no longer edit the description and stats when viewing the item from the inventory page. (This was never intended. If you were viewing an item you didn't have open, editing the description or stats would overwrite your open item's description and stats.)
  • When viewing description and stats from the inventory page, single quotes will now display correctly.
  • Share codes no longer appear to work when not connected to the internet.
  • Many shield icons were properly centered.

  • iOS will sometimes erroneously show the 'No Internet' screen.
  • Item positioning on item cards can be off center in many cases.

  • Six new gauntlet designs were added.
  • Scroll wheel now works on 'all parts' page on PC.
  • Item name can now go to two lines on item card.
  • Replaced 'back' buttons with 'done' buttons on a few pages. 'Back' is still located on pages that can be navigated away from by hitting another button. 'Done' is on pages where that is the only exit and you have autosaved your changes, such as the dicesets page and the stats/description page.

  • Color slider performance specifically should be improved.
  • You can now flip items horizontally. To do it, tap the fourth button under the dice sets button on the right.
  • There are now up and down arrows on dice sets to indicate you can change values.
  • You can now change the order of dice sets by tapping on the "Reorder" button on the right of each set.
  • There is now an option in the settings to remove page transition animations.
  • Default dice sets are now automatically applied to new items. No more blank stats on item cards.
  • Daggers and smallswords have a new icon to help differentiate them from longswords and greatswords.
  • You can now cycle through the in-app patch notes pages to see all the cool stuff we did in the past.

OVERVIEW
You can now generate share codes in Instant Armory! This means that you can now share items you make with the people around the table? The big bad drops a wicked mace that the rogue (of course) picks up. Give them the share code and they can load it right up in their app.

Check out the new archive of Instant Armory items here. You can load any of them into the app and edit them as you see fit.

Some other added improvements include:

UPDATES
  • Default Stats button on Description and Stats page changed to Apply Dice Sets.

    PREVIOUS BEHAVIOR: Would set Stats field to item type and then an item's default damage, such as Shortbow. Damage: 1d6.

    NEW BEHAVIOR: Now sets Stats field to item type and then the items custom dice sets, such as Shortbow. To Hit: 1d20-2. Damage: 1d6+4. Damage vs Beasts: 1d8+4.

    If the dice sets are applied and unchanged, the stats will automatically update when changing the dice sets for an item.
  • The choose a part button in the lower right, now displays the items larger.


KNOWN BUGS
  • An item with a blank description comes in with placeholder text when outputting to an equipment card card.
  • Cannot do hard returns in stats or description.
FIXED BUGS
  • Arrows on new item bar have been moved up.
  • The dragonclaw and spherical crystal wand head now receives color correctly.
  • One of the axes handles was not receiving color properly. This has been corrected.
  • Two of the dagger/smallsword handles were switching with one another when swapping between weapon types. This has been corrected. Note: This may impact some existing items.

  • Added all items to the make a new item buttons at the bottom. For example: Before if you wanted to make a greatsword, you had to make a new longsword and tap swap item. Now, you can do that, or you can choose greatsword directly from the list.
  • Equipment cards format changed. Now have more room for description and stats. (By popular demand!)
  • Added four more mace/flail designs.
  • Added one new hammer design.
  • Moved greataxe down on creation page. Should no longer crowd the item name field.
  • Added additional DLC pack groupings. There is now one for swords, daggers, maces, and hammers (and more to come!). Note: Purchasing Pack A with Sword 1 in it, will also reduce the cost of Pack B with Sword 1 and visa versa. Purchasing Sword 1 individually will reduce the cost of both Packs A & B.
  • Removed a stray bit of parchment from the top of the DLC page.

  • Added a one color shield background. Originally I thought the two color ones could just be colored the same color, but ultimately, this doesn't work for coloring book mode, so added a solid background.
  • Added precise color mode. This is in options and allows you to pick colors and shades between the standard blocks.
  • Hooked DLC up to iOS app store. (Not yet hooked up to Google store.) (Still doesn't charge real $$s in beta.)
